About Myself

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky and my interest in filming and editing began with creating skateboard compilations during my teenage years. As my knowledge and understanding of video production grew, so did my curiosity about the art and craft needed to make great videos. Through college I continued to learn about video production through freelancing, college courses, and self-education. Before graduating I landed an internship in the promotions department at a local TV news station. I spent the summer shooting commercials, editing, and working on promotional material for the station. After graduation I got a job at the same station as a production assistant for the newscast. Years later after working my way up through the production department as an audio operator, floor director, camera operator, and technical director, I decided to make the move to the news department to become a news filmer and editor. My work as a news shooter and editor has only made me love doing these things more, and it’s made me want to continue to challenge myself by shooting and editing projects that allow for greater creativity.
